As an EXTREMELY pale person, I get insecure. Every lame ass magazine in the world has an article about fake tans. Tell me, since when is looking like this

Ok confession: I'm totally obsessed by Gossip Girl, and I soooo know that a lot of you are too. Sure, it's the most unrealistic show about New York since Sex and the City, and don't even get me started on The O.C. resemblance. But, it's better than the O.C., Marissa was SUCH a whiny bitch. I'm glad she's dead. There. I said it. What do you mean, I watch too much tv? Isn't 8 hours healthy?

Anyway, one of the reasons I've been watching horibbly streamed video's on Youku for the last couple of months is Chuck Bass. He is awesome, fo realz. Every show needs a character needs a character like this. He's the 21st century Fonz. He's has a shitload of money and he's hot. He had me at money...

Just look at the sweater vest! The incredibly gay bangs! The gaudy watch! His pervert dad in the background (you just know that he did 'things' with him when he was five)! I am in love...

Another thing that I love about the show is the craaaazy fashion. I wish I could've gone to school dressed like that. They look like Cher from Clueless on combined with Teen Vogue models and a dash of hipster. For example:

Serena and Blair, you rule. I just want to say that the stylists on Gossip Girl totally copied their looks from us. Seriously, they look eerily like me and Dick... I think we have doppelganger syndrome!

First of all, don't get me wrong: I love, love, love and adore Perez. It's the first page I see when I open my beloved MacBookie(mah bebeh!) in the morning, while enjoying a croissant à la La Vache Qui Rit and some fruit. The weather is gorgeous here in the Netherlands, don't know about you in the rest of the world! While I was lounging about in my pj's it was all fine and dandy, but then I had an epiphany: I've got nothing in my closet anymore for this kind of weather! Well ok, ok I admit that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I have this thing that I can't really enjoy the weather if haven't got anything new to wear for it. Call me crazy, but you know, shopaholicism is a disease, so screw you!

I was going through my inspirational pictures, and I found this one of Kate Bosworth. This is a perfect example of how I like to dress when it's warm out: simple, unfussy, and with a white tank. I love tanks, especially white ones, I wear them every single day. I looked around, WhoWhatWearDaily style for cheaper alternatives to her look, 'cause frankly, we're not all mildly talented actresses with a nice paycheck. Of course, you all already have a white tank, but if you're in dire need of a new one, this one from American (€ 22,-)Apparel will do the trick.

Now, a strapless dress is hard to buy online, because it really needs to fit around the boobies, so I suggest just going to Zara for that one. But I found a really cute one from Topshop (£50,-), with a flower print that's really on trend. They now ship to the Netherlands, so YAY! You can also get this (€19,90) one from H&M, a really versatile style.

A similiar style to Kate's cute anklestrap flats can be found here (€59.95) by Swedish brand Vagabond, they have some awesome styles! I'm really in love with gladiator style sandals, they would also look amazing with this look.

And now for the dreamticket: the Chloé Saskia bag (€1210,-) would look perfect with this laidback look. I'm salivating just looking at this bag, I'm in looooooooooove... Just a reminder, my birthday is only a month away. (HINT).

My new Connies and I went on a little trip today. We went to Kroller-Muller museum, somewhere in, well, the middle of nowhere. The museum's not that famous(though it is in fact a wonderful museum), but oh!, how delightful is it that those luverly Japanese tourists always seem find their way to Van Gogh paintings! The earless sicko calls them in their sleep, I'd guess, and then he brainwashes them so they will only travel in groups, accompanied by their beloved Sony and Louis Vuitton. Something like that.

But when I grow up, uncle Karl, it is my dream to become one of them! Despite their awkward way of dressing(large floppy hats, khaki shorts, 'I Love Venice'-buttons, 'I Love Bratwurst'-buttons, etc.) they just look cute as a fluffy pink rabbit! Anyway, she does:

This time I'm going modern, people! Ryan McGinley is one of the most influential young photographers. He uses mostly young models, and they hardly wear anything more than their own pubes. Placed in a background of uninterrupted nature, smoke machines and fireworks, it results in an ethereal world of unspoiled beauty and a strange innocence. He spent the whole summer working on his new project "I Know Where the Summer Goes", on the road with his crew of young models, touring through the American landscape. It's now on display in Team Gallery in NY, so buy your plainticket now, and buy me one too while your at it!

Most of my friends and especially my mother know that I want to achieve just one thing in life, and only when I have accomplished this particular ordeal, I am able to die happy. It has been the guiding light through the darkest patches on the road that is life, lifting my soul out of the darkest depths of sartorial misery. This near impossible quest is to obtain The Perfect Pair Of Red Boots. And I kid you not when I say that this is nigh impossible. I have combed through every shoe store from London to motherfucking Groningen. Never have I found that pair that's just perfect; the right shade of red, my size, right length, etc. Untill now. And they're not mine.

Agathe of Stylebytes owns them!! And she bought them for next to nothing!! You know, this is proof that there is like, no God. Okay, I'm exaggerating, it just proves that Satan exists, and that he doesn't like me. Agathe, if you read this, look into your heart, and FedEx the boots to me! I'll pay double what you payed! At least, if they're a size 40.

You probably remember those popup books you 'read' when you were little. They were the cutest, really. Well, lately it seems they're back, everywhere, in a more adultlike version. Gosh, this makes me so happy! Yay!
You already know that Shitdisco video, of course. That vid is so cute it actually makes me like their music. And trust me, I don't want to(remember the time when bands spent more time composing music than making up band names...)!
Then I came across this Lexus commercial. Yes, Lexus, speedy, flashy, Lexus. Advertising with a popup!

This is such an inspirational pic!
It's my girl France Gall together with Serge Gainsbourg, and, as you all know, they are together the creators of The Greatest Song Of All Time. (Yes, I am indeed obsessed with 'Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son', so, so, obsessed.)
I just love her outfit here! It's glitzy, it's OTT, it's feathers, it's That Haircut... And just the whole setting. Just wanted to share it with you guys!

I personally love browsing the web to find some blogs about some seriously stylish people. And not so surprisinlgy, most of those people reside in Scandinavia and the UK. The States have serious fashionistas as well, but they're all in NY or LA, because the rest of America is fat and unstylish. (KIDDING! I've never been there!).

Now, I love two kinds of sites; girls who document what they wear everyday en where they get their inspiration from, and then there's the whole streetstyle thing.

In the first category I have some favs:
1) Susie Bubble at Stylebubble.
Her inspirations vary wildly, but the outcome is always gorgeous and a little but out there. To me she is someone I really admire for daring to wear something seriously stylish.

2) Agathe Bjørnsdatter from StyleBytes. (Pictured above)
As if Scandinavia needed another style icon, here's another one! She's from Norway, and is a tad more relaxed and 'clean' in her styling compared to Susie Bubble. It's closer to what I like to wear, because my lifelong dream is to one day, become a Scandinavian myself. (Going to Stockholm in July, so here's hoping!).

In streetstyle I LOVE the unavoidable Sartorialist. For real, he finds THE best outfits, and he is a straight man! I always look forward to his fashion week coverage at Style.com, but his current trip to India proves that fashionable people are to be found everywhere in the world. (Except Prague, but that's a whole other story...)
I also regurlarly check the StockholmStreetStyle site. And then I realize I need to buy a whole other wardrobe for my trip, because even the dogs there are outdressing me! Some hot guys as well, rrrrrrr....

Have you guys heard about the emo attacks in South America? Well it took long enough! These kids needed to get a good ass whooping, so that they could stop WHINING already.
I mean, just look at them... I'm getting agressive just staring at their matching eyeliner. Great, now I'm just gonnna have to find some emo for myself to beat up!

If you´re a man/woman who isn´t born with that annoying "Oh my metabolism is just quick" gene, you´ve probably done some form of exercise at a gym. Everybody´s there for the same reason, just wanna get in shape, look hot in a bikini, whatevs. So I ask you; WHY is everybody so incredibly fucking annoying at gyms?

If you only glance at your chosen machine of torture (or: treadmill), somebody will cut you off and begin running like they´re being chased by the ghost of their own fat selves. Or if you´re using a machine the wrong way, they give you a look best summed up as a combination of detest and "oh poor little fat girl, just give up trying. Here, have a donut!".

Maybe I´m just bitter... All I´m saying, why can´t it be more like this:

Just found The Most Amazing Thing Ever on amazon.com. And the beautiful piece of literature is called: 'Everybody Hurts, an essential guide to emo-culture.' OMG so effing brilliant!
Some emo-kid (probably these kids, or this lovely girl) posted this as a reaction on the book:

"The authors are self-congratulating, depressed, angry critics of anything different from their uppity, self-righteous, arrogant opinions of how people should be. Reading the the book is like reading a mentally ill sociopath's recipe for a happy life. It is not a good read and I suggest you don't bother with this book as it is whining garbage and will ruin your day."

So now you know it's a must-read! Only $11,16. So, iz mah burzdai May 18th. :-)
